Road bike: helmets for aero performance and style

Specialized S-Works Evade

You can tell just by looking at it that this is one badass helmet. Designed to give maximum aero advantage to riders on the road, the Evade looks fast and performs even faster. It was developed and tested using Specialized’s famous ‘Win Tunnel’, at their base in the USA and claims to offer you an extra 46 seconds over 40km of riding. May not sound like much, but as we know roadies are all about those marginal gains.

Kask Mojito

The Kask Mojito is without a doubt one of the most popular helmet styles around at the moment. Perhaps it’s the fact Kask sponsors the helmets of professional Team Sky that has caught the British cycling public’s imagination, or maybe it’s just because this is one seriously stylish lid! At just 220 grams this is not a helmet that’ll be giving you a sore neck, nor weighing you down on a climb.

The Black and Fuchsia Mojito is one of Kask’s women’s designs, but we also stock plenty of men’s styles too.

Mountain bike: lids for shredding it on dirt tracks

Specialized Ambush

The Specialized Ambush is a high-performing MTB helmet that will let you take on trail riding, enduro, downhill and anything in between. It has an reinforced Aramid skeleton for excellent head protection and Specialized’s own 4th Dimension Cooling System – benefitting from massive ventsand aligned exhaust ports to increase airflow and keep you cool.

Bontrager Quantum WSD

The Quantum is Bontrager’s women’s MTB helmet and comes complete with a visor and a one-hand micro adjustment system so you can fine tune the fit without having to pull over to the side of the trail and dismount. At £49.99 it’s a great value piece of kit and the fact it can be used for road and commuting riding really bumps up its versatility.

Kask Bambino

The Kask Bambino is the most technologically advanced helmet that we sell. Its designed to give you extremely low aerodynamic resistance so you can cut through the air and shave seconds off your times – be that on a particular road or Strava segment, or in a TT or triathlon.

The Intox from Bluegrass is a great option if you’re looking for a full-face helmet at a decent price. It offer more protection for the head than a conventional helmet and at 1,010 grams it’s not the heaviest in the world either. Created with BMX riders and MTBers in mind, it’ll keep your most precious asset protected should you take a tumble or mess up a trick.
