At the heart of the Diverge E5 Sport's build is a completely redesigned frame, offering better capability than ever. Constructed from E5 Premium Aluminium for an unbeatable mix of weight, stiffness and durability. Topped with carefully considered specs such as a Shimano Sora groupset for reliable shifting, mechanical disc brakes for guaranteed stopping power and a sturdy Axis Sport wheelset, this bike offers an unparalleled riding experience.
Special attention is paid to the riding experience with the new Open Road Geometry system - it might sound like just another marketing term, but we've designed a completely fresh geometry for the Diverge E5. It features playful handling, predictable steering and lending itself equally to dirt skids, mid-corner drifts, or smooth tarmac cruising.
Away from a traditional ‘cross geometry, our unique approach provides a bottom bracket that's over a half-centimetre lower than the previous Diverge, a slacked-out head tube angle, short chainstays, and a short wheelbase, making this bike equally capable on the road or off the beaten track.
To further enhance the ride quality on irregular surfaces, we've implemented a new version of our Future Shock into the Diverge design. It absorbs bumps with ease and ensures extremely predictable handling by keeping the same effective head tube angle when hitting a bump so there's no surprise under steer or sloppy handling. It features a progressive spring that makes it even more suitable for off-road applications, where stiffer suspension is often needed to soak up larger bumps and obstacles.
Among its other notable features, the Diverge comes equipped with three water bottle mounts and fixtures for racks and fenders, making it not only great for off-road exploration, but also perfect for bike packing, commuting, or even a trip to your local brewery.
